Here at Watergardens we source plants from a range of wholesale nurseries and hobby growers. We have our own growing site here on the Northern Beaches where we grow a range of plants you'll find in the nursery. We try to source plants from North Queensland growers whenever we can!

Shade / indoor plants

Bring the beauty of nature indoors with a plant that is suited to part, or all shade. Watergardens offers an extensive range of plants that can thrive indoors or in shaded areas.

Selecting the right plant for each room in your home may seem confusing, but our experienced staff will help match the conditions of your home/room to the perfect plant.

Sun-loving plants

Cairns rarely has a shortage of sun! Fortunately, there are many plants that thrive in the full sun and heat of our summer! We have an extensive range of groundcovers, flowers, climbers, shrubs, screening plants, trees, palms, natives and grasses that love the sun. Just ask our staff, or head out to the sunny areas of the nursery!

Edibles

We stock herb and vegetable seedlings, and a range of fruit trees including dwarf citrus. Throughout the year we also stock many other edibles such as bay leaf trees, curry leaf, lemongrass, and pandanus.

Flowers and Colour

We stock a wide range of flowering ground covers, shrubs, natives, flowers and seedling punnets that will attract the birds, butterflies and bees to your garden.

Curios and harder to find plants

We stock an ever-changing range of harder to find plants such as Jade vine, Dwarf Ylang Ylang, Aristolochia vine (the Cairns Bird-Wing Vine), bat plants, and many, many more!

We stock plants from hobby growers and collectors - so you may find a 'rarer' delight on one of our benches from time to time!

Pond plants

You'll find a range of plants suitable for ponds. We also have a regular supply of water lilies and lotus during the spring and summer months.
